Kitty grew up near the beach in Seaside and now live in Astoria, Oregon. Although starting out as an artist, life happened - and so eventually she ended up retiring from Clatsop Community College in Astoria, Oregon as a Dean of Continuing Education. She paints in acrylics, collage, and oil and cold wax. Kitty utilizes mixed media using palettes that include organic materials, and enjoys exploring with experiments in texture and dimension. She has been moving towards less realism to abstract. She's usually laughing, and when answering questions about the change, and explains it's about the journey being the reward.
